Topping-out ceremony held for Mols L’s new warehouse

The stevedoring company Mols L is constructing a new warehouse of approximately 5,000 m² at the Port of Liepāja, significantly expanding its storage capacity. The total investment amounts to approximately EUR 1.55 million.

The new warehouse will have the capacity to store approximately 20,000 tonnes of cargo, including agricultural products and wood pellets. Once completed, it will increase the total capacity of Mols L’s enclosed storage facilities to 60,000 tonnes. By comparison, before 2015, the port operator’s warehouses could accommodate only 9,000 tonnes.

The warehouse is being constructed by SIA “AJ Meistars”, while the steel roof structures were supplied by Borga, a Swedish-owned company.

Construction began in autumn last year. The facility is scheduled to become operational in September, coinciding with the start of the grain-handling season at the port.
