The projects selected by Real FDI reflect the diversity and scale of current investment opportunities. They range from major freeports and established industrial districts to brownfield regeneration projects and airport-linked logistics hubs.<\/p>\n

According to Real FDI, these projects collectively demonstrate how connectivity, infrastructure, available land and increasingly advanced industrial ecosystems are shaping the next generation of investment destinations. \u201cCountries are no longer competing solely to attract investment, but also to provide the industrial infrastructure required by investors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Real FDI has highlighted 10 of the world\u2019s most promising industrial and logistics investment projects. Located in different countries, they represent a variety of development models\u2014from major industrial centres in Germany and Spain to emerging logistics hubs in Iceland, Romania, Latvia, the United Kingdom and Mexico.<\/p>\n

Liep\u0101ja Industrial Park received particular recognition for embedding sustainable thinking in its \u201cgenetic code\u201d, with clearly defined principles of education, innovation and the circular economy. The former Liep\u0101jas metalurgs steelworks site is gradually being reintegrated into the city, making it accessible to the public and attractive to investors.<\/p>\n

Liep\u0101ja Industrial Park is being developed jointly by the Liep\u0101ja SEZ Authority and Liep\u0101ja City Municipality on the former Liep\u0101jas metalurgs site, between Br\u012bv\u012bbas iela, Meldru iela, Ezermalas iela, Parka iela and Zemnieku iela. The site borders Lake Liep\u0101ja, a specially protected Natura 2000 nature area.<\/p>\n

Under the approved development strategy, the project aims to attract more than EUR 275 million in private investment and create at least 1,500 new jobs.<\/p>\n
